I have a 91 Ford escort gt, the problem is I jumped in one day to go to work turned the car on and the wipers moved about a inch and quit working. Well I've checked the fuse it's still good and have replaced the motor for the wipers and it's still not working, they do not work on low high or intermittent speed. I'm thinking maybe it could be the stick that is in the column to control the speed, but it clicks when I move it and idk what else it could be or what else to check. Thanks!
That thing is so old and so far past its expected lifespan that it could be almost anything.

There are plenty of obvious areas to check if they have not been tested already.
Have you checked to see if the motor is receiving voltage when switched on? Is the motor grounded properly? The switch may "click" when moved but have you tested it with an ohm meter to see if it's actually working? Have you tested the wiper relay? Checked wiring and connectors for corrosion or other problems?
You can find the wiper section of the shop manual here which may help:

you probably need to clean the switch
