Scotty, My Father bought a 2022 Chevy Camaro LT1 with a 6.2 liter V8. He recently went to get the oil changed at his local mechanic nice guy good service Blah blah blah. He gets there and can't get the oil changed, so he decided to go to JiffyLube instead.
Was this a good choice or high-end mistake?
Tell your dad not to go to any of the quick oil change places, especially with that new Camaro. Read about too many horror stories from those quick lube shops.
These places are horrible; either do oil change yourself or have your trusted independent mechanic do it, but never these chain shops. Tons of horror stories out there and also they charge a ton. Out of curiosity I called one of them to see what they would charge for oil and filter change on my 2022 Civic. They said $210. I change it myself and oil and filter costs only $20 and I know I do it right.

Yeah, but don’t they also check the battery and windshield wipers? 😁
Yeah that's worth the rest of the $190 😆
yes
Why couldn’t he get the oil change at the local mechanic?
His mechanic had numerous cars before his. therefore, he left! {black}
Big mistake going to one of those outfits. Your dad is fortunate if they didn't mess anything up. Hopefully he won't find out later that they stripped his drain plug, or worse.
His dad had an amc Rambler. If thats a song that is a great title.
Also thanks for the advice.

It's a mistake, but it's unknown what are the consequences - possibly none, possibly some. It's just generally just a bad idea.
