Hi Scotty

Burning question, Is WHY? Would they stop making this wonderful bulletproof economy car. This was the vehicles that beat the Hybrids hands down

I had many Metros in my day, a 1993 Convertible, and two a 1995, and 1996 LSI model's.

But the 1994 XFI was my favorite.

Everybody screams that we need vehicles that get better mileage!

My 94 XFI got 53+ MPG, I even had a trailer hitch installed and pulled a pop-up camper, and other times a fishing boat. Mileage only dropped to around 48 MPG. Not bad!

I drove it 325K miles without a problem, until the better half drove it with the temp gauge pegged.

I asked her, "How long has the temp gauge been there?"

Her reply was; "I don't know. I never look at the gauges!"

Needless to say this was the end of my loyal, dependable Canadian friends lifespan.

P.S. The next one is having Murphy Switches installed!

The short answer is SUV's

According to wikipedia, "waning popularity of smaller automobiles in the North American markets"

Osamu Suzuki, chairman of Suzuki, called CAMI "a fishbone in my throat" because of its low production.

Extremely unpleasant feeling..
