I have a 2008 mitsubishi lancer gts with a cvt transmission. Now it has about 201,000 miles and the trans oil has never been changed. Trans over heats so i don’t know if its bad to change it or just get rid of the car. ?

Yup, I’d choose the latter option.
Get rid of it in this inflated used car market, while it's still running down the road.
