i have an audi a7 3.0tdi (2013) with the zf8 trans
and the temperatures are going up to 230F.
The thermostat stays open always, it stays open from cold.
Could this be the heat exchanger in my case too?
On highway it stays to 158f - 176f.

Well it works fine when you're on the highway. The only difference is you have more wind on the highway so it could be a fan problem when you're not on highway. The fans are not operating correctly
