| ... he told me something about "bubbles by the head" not sure what he said it's vague in my memory. firstly, I would like to confirm this with you. Closer look. Had a valve gasket leaking past 2 months. Bought it in the 3rd week of May 2020 and since then it's been a saga of repairs. Jobs done to the car: 1. Recently done Water Pump (Pierburg) and Thermostat (Mahle) like not even 100kms on it. 2. New Mann air filter not even 40 kms on it. I also deleted the carbon filter while replacing the air filter. 3. Replaced Radiator and upper rad hose b ... | |||||
| (CALIFORNIA) Buying used car legalities help (No plates, Title jumping, late reg or non op) | 10Relevance | 5 years ago | GrizzzlyGoat | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Hello, I check listings for cars everyday and I am pretty familiar with the business, like title in name, title in hand, current registration, yada yada. That is what you want when buying a used car. Low and behold I found a C32 for an interesting price but the seller says the car is missing plates and he doesn't have the title, but he mentioned he needed to get some paperwork from the previous owner, so I know he is obviously jumping the title. I already ran the VIN, (which is what he gave me in a message, so it could be for a different car of course) and it didn't say it was salvaged. If I buy this car with just a bill of sale as paperwork, what kind of legal troubles would I get into? Obviously the biggest problem is the title jump, but what would happen if I bought the car that way? Main questions, What happens when you buy a car with a jumped title (with title in hand and not in hand) What happens when you buy a car without plates How to calculate late fees on a car you are interested in buying (a little bit off topic from above) How to drive home a car you just bought but its on PNO (do you have to go straight to the DMV? I don't think at this point I would buy the car, maybe only just for the parts ( I have another W203) and then just send it off to a scrapyard, which would be very heartbreaking to see for an AMG car to be eaten away just because of morons who don't complete basic legal processes. Any help is appreciated, thank you. | |||||

| Hey there. I have a car with a strange problem and even the best suspension shop in my area can't figure it out. The thing won't stay aligned. It's a low mileage 2008 bmw E93 335i that I picked up and bought from a dealer sight unseen... This is my second E chassis, first one an E90. By low mileage I mean roughly 17k miles when I bought it. And it was a good price as well, only $16,900.00 clean carFax and full detailed maintenance records too. I thought I was getting a deal, but $5000 in parts and labor later, I still can't get anyone who can perform ... | |||||

| ... very well... the engine mostly.. but since one year ago I have a very strange problem. The main problem is only in cold weather and when the engine has completely cooled down. When I start the engine it starts without any issue whatsoever and the engine runs very normal and fine, but when I then put it in Drive and try to drive away or even not driving away by keeping my foot on the brake, the engine does not seem to be able to resist the pressure and the engine cuts. If I leave the car running idle for 5, 10 or 15 minutes (depending upon the cold), it usu ... | |||||

| I just picked up my first car in a very long time. 2004 Toyota Corolla LE 226,000 miles with automatic trans. I have a 2 questions. first on the oil, or lack there of. car was bone dry, no oil in it at all, I put a quart in just to get it back to the house. I watched a few of your youtube videos that state on older cars you generally use conventional oil, however I saw another video from you where you said you put synthetic in oil in a Toyota Matrix that had a VVT-I engine. The 2004 Corolla LE is 19 year old car, but has a VVT-I engine. I called my local Toy ... | |||||

| Hi, Used prices are currently insane In some places, 8 year old Civics are going for almost 70% of their original price. With current used prices - there's no such car. As far as cars that used to be cheaper than competition while not being too bad, I'd try finding a low millage 2nd gen manual Focus equipped with a DuraTech HE engine. Don't overpay for it, it's honestly mediocre at best - but I'm not even sure that would fit into your budget. You can try finding really old Toyotas, but I really don't recommend old cars as first cars... | |||||
| Subaru BRZ first car? | 9Relevance | 5 years ago | moose | Submit Your Question HERE | |
| Howdy Scotty (love your videos!), I'm going to buy my first car sometime between now and August. I'm most interested in a manual Subaru BRZ ('13-'16). I'm wondering what you think: is this a good first car? I drive about 7K miles per year (short city commute and a few long trips). Winters are long, tough and cold here, but I'll have winter tires. I'm a university student so I need reasonable reliability without losing all the fun. I want something that I can work on myself (oil change, tires, lights-- the basics), and I am hoping for it to last for approxim ... | |||||

I checked it out today the car seems solid the frame had no major rust oil changes were done when they were suposed too as the owner said. Its the first owner and he recently change the starter, muffler, oil pan full front brake job, radiator hoses replaced, stabilizer links in 2019 with all the receipts. | ... so what could I really screw up, right? Learned to drive a standard in it. Rode with my Dad and he stopped in the middle of a busy intersection, got out with everyone honking, had me get in the drivers seat, and said, "You better figure out how to move this thing before they kill us." Well, that did the trick let me tell you. Fast forward a bit: got the car sanded down, repaired the floor board, took care of the rust issues, replaced the clutch, got it driving good. I learned to get really good at the manual because we had a utility easement by ou ...

| ... Now, I was told by a mechanic who was probably wrong to change my atf, and I did that sometime in the fall in 2021. It wasn't long afterwards that I noticed my transmission had started to get louder and I could feel that something was going to happen because I knew the car and had driven another TL for years. Well sure enough when I was on a long drive at one point in October, I had a code thrown that was for TCC solenoid, and I think it was p0740. Well, it wasn't an hour later when my car decided to slip out of gear and not go back in. long story short we ... | |||||

At first I thought it just needed new spark plug and ignition coils so I replaced those. Shortly after my car's starter died and I replaced that. Now I have an issue where I start my car, drive down the street and then either stop at a stop sign or a streetlight. When I go to accelerate, all of a sudden my car decides to sluggishly accelerate, I am pushing down on the gas pedal but it has a delay in giving any power. ...
