why do my tires wear excessively on the outside

i have a 2011 prius, 130,000 miles, base model with 15” steel wheels. the front passenger strut was damaged by driving on a bad tire that bounced and now the strut needs needs be replaced.

my question:

my front tires go bald on the outer edges before the center and i assume its the bad strut, but before i replace the strut, get an alignment and buy new tires are there any other issues that can cause the balding pattern? by the way, i have kept the car in alignment during ownership of my last set of new tires and done rotation, but at some point my mechanic started rotating left to right only  because the wear pattern of my front tires would be dangerous if placed in the rear. (by the way- the rear tires have stayed in the back and have even wear and were regularly rotated left to right like the front)

other things that can contribute are sloppy bearings, sloppy steering,  warped brake rotors, inflation pressure, and aggressive cornering.

Wear on the outer edge of the tire can also be caused by excessive toe in and too much positive camber.
