Yes. I have a 2001 ford ranger xlt 3.0. V6 .. I’ve been trying to figure out what is causing my truck to jerk when I stop and take off .. or if I’m on a slight incline and take off .. my check gas cap light is on when it happens most of the time .. the light goes on and off.. I’ve replaced the cap twice .. the jerk almost feels like the transmission isn’t in gear .. like a skipping until I drop it down into 2nd and it’s fine once I shift back into 2nd .. plz help .. thanks Will
It could be your transmission slipping.
Wouldn’t it stip all the time ? It’s just when the check gas cap light is on .
Scan it for codes.
check for leaks in the EVAP system. (search Scotty's Youtube)
It could be causing the engine to misfire.
