Hey Scotty I got a 2001 lb7 duramax I’m new to the diesel world and my coolant when it’s full blows out of revisor container then low coolant light goes on I can see there still is coolant inside the overflow tank. I changed the cap and it did nothing. It does not overheat and runs perfectly fine. What could be causing this issue thanks !

Sure … when my coolant reservoir is full in between empty and full it builds pressure and it comes out of the overflow tube then my low coolant light comes on shortly after that. Still some coolant in the tank and no overheating

To my knowledge, there is cold line and a hot line on the reservoir. If the coolant is above the cold line when it's cold, or above the hot line when it's hot, then the extra can get forced out.
If you continue to loose coolant then you might have a bad pressure cap or blown head gasket.
