A few days ago I posted about my 02 Maxima SE. 6sp manual, 258k miles that was stalling out randomly and frequently. This post is going to be more inclusive since I forgot a few things.
Within the past year I've replaced MAF, PVC, Throttle, Cam and Crank sensors, fuel injectors, coils and plugs, battery and alternator (both load tested and good), fuel pump and sending unit, value covers and gaskets, intake gaskets.... And a few various other parts. Car had a misfire on medium to hard rev at the 2500-3k RPM range, lack of power and acceleration (no stalling at this time). Miraculously seemed to fix itself 2weeks ago, then the stalling started while driving or sitting at idle.
Mods to cars.
-CIA Installed
- VIAS System deleted/NWP block off plate
- 255lph fuel pump
Trouble codes.
-P0300 (damn it)
-p0340 Cam sensor A Circuit (bank 1)
So I cleaned the connectors and prongs as there was oil on and in it, reset ECU, still stalling....
Wondering if the sensor is already f***ked or need to back trace with multimeter to check connector all the way back to PCM.
Compression test the cylinders.
Did that 2 months ago and everything was in spec
Have you checked the timing?
Haven't done that yet, bit outside my expertise. Did read that the Cam sensors I bought are cheap made and very very easily go bad within a year.... so I think imma try the OEM sensors and see what that does ( was low on money when I bought sensors, went cheap)
Replacing the sensors with OEM is a good move
