I have a 2004 x type Jaguar 3.0 130,000 mi and a cent-tech digital multimeter. it has 3 lower holes center ground. i want to test the sensor i am getting a 1647 code. i dont know where to set the dial or the V/Q or EXT ????? Vegas Dan {black}:face:
Good luck on that one I stopped messing around with electronics on Jaguar years ago too many headaches plus I didn't like the people owned the cars either

I am assuming you are wanting to read Ohms. The black lead is always plugged into the hole marked "com" (common/ground). The red lead you will want to hook it up to where the Ohms symbol is (the letter omega). Then turn the dial to the Ohms symbol and your desired number of decimals. If you have an open circuit (leads not touching each other) it should read like in the picture, if you have a perfectly closed circuit you should read 0. If you don't read 0 something is wrong with your leads or multimeter.
