03 Civic sat for years
Got a 2003 Honda Civic with 170k miles. Engine oil is still amber, and trans fluid smells good not burnt or anything. But the brake fluid is green and the gas in the car was rotten
i already had the gas drained out and refilled. Runs good. Shifts good.
im having an oil change done now, but should I replace the trans fluid like maybe do a drain and refill since it sat for a few years. Not sure how long it sat actually. But the gas was a clear orange color.
At 170k miles a drain and refill won't hurt it. I would change the tranny fluid if I were you to make the tranny last as long as possible. Don't every flush it. You are gambling then. We have a 05 Camry with 374k miles and we change the tranny fluid every 30-50k miles and is still going strong.
