Hi,
I’m looking at 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Track Transmission with 181,000 miles. A certified mechanic went over it and it’s all fine however the vehicle hesitates with accelerating when it’s cold. He said it could be the transmission but he doesn’t do transmissions. He said it could be just a matter of draining and replacing the fluid and filter. He said I should get a transmission shop to check it out. Anyone have similar issues or solutions? Thanks!

Transmission problems lead the list of problems typical of the 2008 Explorer. I'd pass it by.

That's got a lot of miles. I would not pay very much.
