My 2003 Toyota corolla is drinking too much gas I got a code P0171 for bank 1 too lean thoughts?

Yes that was good advice realize on those often the intake manifold gaskets go bad making it run too lean and get crazy gas mileage. Also check the mass air flow sensor those are the two biggies

It could be anything from a vacuum leak to a bad fuel pump and other possible causes. Check the fuel trims on ur scan tool, they should be very positive, above 10% or even over 20%, if they get better (gets closer to 0) when u rev the engine up, it's probably a vacuum leak.
