I was planning on buying a used Ford Mustang Mach 1 with 151,245 miles in it. It has a brand new Performance clutch in it, while everything else is stock. Is there anything I should I look out for? I took it on a test drive and it ran smooth, just wanted some tips to be safe
Just make sure you buy from an elderly. Ask why the seller put a brand new clutch in it. If the previous clutch went out, it is likely that the owner drove it hard and not worth buying.
Are you buying this vehicle from the owner (original owner?) or a dealer? And then how much are they asking? Those can be really fun cars to drive but as a result and with that much mileage with the V8 and the Manual it was probably driven like a maniac and who knows what other issues you’ll have to deal with in the future. Unless it’s selling for practically dirt cheap, I would pass on it.
