How do I fix random misfire

Topic starter

03 Suburban 4X4 5.3L V8 automatic transmission 287k miles. Replaced coils, plugs, many sensors, reman ECU, cleaned injectors... Still random misfires (blinking check engine light, engine shakes, low power, gas getting into oil, etc) How common are these LM7 engines subject to cam lobe wear?

What codes are you getting regarding the misfiring?

If gas is getting into the oil as you stated, your injectors are probably stock partially open and gas is getting into the oil past worn piston rings.

Run a full diagnostic scan, and check for vacuum leaks.
