Just looking for some general advice of good brands since this is my wife's vehicle and she just does normal driving. I've seen many of Scott's videos and recommended KYB as one good quality brand, but I was wondering what the forums experience is with like a top 5 brands. I see a lot of Chinese-made stuff Detroit Axle, and many others but we're gonna drive this vehicle till the wheels come off so I'm more interested in quality and longevity without breaking the bank if possible.

Thanks
KYBs are pretty much the go-to for this forum other than Toyota OEM parts. I paid $100 for 4 KYB shocks for my '79 Pontiac and it was probably the best $100 I've ever spent.
Avoid Monroe quick struts and auto parts stores in-house branded parts. I put Monroe heavy duty shocks in my Ranger a couple years ago, my girlfriend hates them because they're pretty stiff. They do a nice job when the truck is full of stuff. I don't really care about the ride, it's a truck.
KYB and Bilstein are the best. Monroe sucks.
KYB all the way.
