2003 Tundra 4.7L V8
Hi I'm looking to buy a used tundra. I found one for $3k 2003 with 130000 miles here in Florida. I checked the car fax and has been maintained well at dealerships in Virginia. The owner recently change the timing belt with all the cam gears that comes in a kit, the shims on all 16 lifters, the oil pump and water pump. But the issues is there is some valve train ticking from the engine. He hasn't drove ever since and its been park for 2 months he says that will go away once I give it a couple of miles. He has proof of the work done. What do you think?
Why don't you have your trusted mechanic check it out?
if a honest mechanic says its ok go ahead and buy it
Tundra's have always been a reliable truck. You did not mention what engine it has in it though?
