Scotty, I have a 03 4runner that has a v8 4.7l engine. I want to convert into 4wd what should I be looking for transmission wise. I want to do this project as young mechanic looking for challenge to prove to my boss that I am capable of doing complex work. A lot of people say I should sell the car and get on already 4wd but I want to take pride in my vehicle. What should I do? My thoughts are to find a similar year 4runner or Tacoma with a blown engine and swap parts.
