Hi Scotty thank you for all the videos you've uploaded they helped me a lot in my own DIY mechanicing. I have a problem I was wondering if you could help me out with my Jeep. So I have no front drive shaft so it's just rear wheel drive at the moment I got stuck in a snow bank and I tried rocking it back and forth and the transmission overheated. I shut it off smell kind of burnt so I did a transmission fluid change and still no go no reverse. It's not leaking transmission fluid anywhere just no reverse. It can go into drive and second and first gear but when I put it into reverse gear it feels like it might go into gear but then it does nothing and when I put it into Park it feels like it still wants to go forward can you please help me figure out what is wrong with it? I'm kind of skilled with transmission's just self-taught. I don't want to have to get the whole transmission but if that's what I'm going to end up having to do and so be it any advice you can offer would help greatly thank you.
Well you burned out the transmission. It's going to need a rebuild. Those have pretty weak trannies to begin with and then you do that rocking. It burn stuff out inside in there. Relatively expensive to rebuild
Hi Scotty thanks for replying to me. Suppose you don't advise driving it since the drive works. for now I mean until I can get a new vehicle or get up get the money to rebuild it?

My mom's old Hyundai Sonata had the same issue at around 200k miles, at that point I would drive it until the wheels would fall off and you can find another car. I remember being a kid while my parents would push the car out of the parking spaces It was very embarrassing! 😆
It's at a 180k rn. Lmao I'm 29 and I think I'm gonna make a similar memory for my 3 kids 🤣

Like Scotty usually says, try to find parking spots where you can drive out forward..
