Drove my park avenue 3800 series motor 35 miles to work while overheating gauge said temp was 280 smoke rolling from hood and car just shuts off...cooled down...drove it rest of way to work where it shut of again....I get out of work..drive it 35 miles home with no antifreeze at all in radiator...and engine was pecking and clinging like everything in it was rattling like crazy....then car quits again...made it home smoke a rollin out of hood....any thoughts on the condition of motor? Is it worth messing with...or just pull engine

I would assume the engine is toast and I would replace it a severely overheated engine should not be rebuilt as it would need too many parts
