Scotty, what are your thoughts?
6 months ago, I bought an 04 Toyota Sequoia Limited 2wd with 164k miles. I paid $7000 for it. It now has 168k miles and has been a good vehicle but now the rear main seal needs replaced, it will need brakes and rotors soon, and cruise doesn't work. I bought this thinking I would drive it forever and all I would have to worry about is gas prices and regular maintenance. Now I'm afraid I bought this just as everything is starting to crap out and it becoming a money pit. What do you think?
brakes + rotors are regular maintenance items for any car. I don't consider that "crapping out".
The other things suck, though. Did you price out the RMS?
Agree with MMJ. With the price of vehicles today, I would spend the money to get the seal replaced (you can wait a while if it is not leaking too badly and try AT-205).
