Hey I have a 05 mustang v6. I got gas one day and the next day the car went into engine failed safe mode. I tried cleaning the MAF, TB, and a new air filter. It started so smooth at first but then went back to failed safe mode. I took it to my usual mechanic and he believes it’s a computer issue and recommend I take it to the Ford dealership. Is there anything else I should check before I take it to them
I had the same problem but with an 06 Mustang GT. I fixed it by getting a whole new throttle body, tps, and throttle body motor. It never went into limp mode again.
well if it's as bad as your mechanic says there's nothing you can really check other than if you want to go to the computer you could unplug it and then look at all the various wire connections sometimes they corrode and get green and you can spray clean them with electrical cleaner but normally it's internal failure
