Hey Scotty, great channel you got there. Very entertaining. I came across it on Youtube and subscribed right away. The BMW X3 M40i has a pretty loud exhaust. Can something be done to the existing exhaust to quiet it down? There is already a reduced engine sound adjustment but it still emits a bassy drone in the cabin even with active sound design (fake engine noise disabled). Can the muffler from the x3 30i be installed without any issues? The exhaust sound is subjective, some people love it, others, like myself, could do without it because we like everything else about the vehicle.
Most people buy it because they like the noise but the BMW if you mess with the exhaust I would assume the computer would have to be reprogrammed or the flow wouldn't match but the computer was expecting
Sorry, but you bought the wrong version of the X3 if this is a concern to you 😉
Did you research any aftermarket mufflers? There might be some for your specific car.
