What motor oil should I use?

I have a bmw 545i 2004 and I want to do an oil change. It has 180k miles and was wondering what kind of oil should I add?

Use the oil specified in your owner's manual.

Any full synthetic GF-6A oil meets BMW requirements. 5W-30 or 5W-40 is used in all ambient temperatures. Page 179 , owners manual
