Trabsmission Fluid Change

Hello Scotty,

I hope this finds you well! I live in Pensacola, Florida, and I came across your channel almost a year ago.  I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you on your channel! I love how you are upfront, honest, and truly a blessing to all. I absolutely trust your advice and knowledge about vehicles. But, I am now EXTREMELY CONFUSED on one thing!!!!!

I have a 2013 and a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, GLS and SE Ultimate, respectively.  I have a little over 105k miles on the GLS and nearing 97k on the SE. I am confused because I do not know whether or not to get the tranny fluid changed on either due to the high mileage.  The 2013 GLS has no issues and shifts just fine.  The 2017 SE has a somewhat of a hard shift into 1st only after cranking it up and taking off first thing in the morning. Once it warms up, that is no longer an issue.  BTW, I cannot find any Hyundai scheduled maintenance service at all for the transmission!

I want the transmissions to last as long as possible, but I am so unsure about getting the fluid changed.  I know a flush is probably not the thing to do with as many miles as each have, but a drain and fill may not be great either because I believe you had said that putting new fluid in an older transmission may cause slipping or other issues it didn't have before because of the new fluid not having as much friction as the old fluid.  I don't know if any mechanic I go to here in Pensacola will honestly tell me what I should do or where I could ever find one that is!

So here is the dilema...SHOULD I OR SHOULDN'T I??????????  HELP!!!!
