Hi Scotty,
I just bought an '05 Honda CR-V AWD automatic 170,000km for $3200.00 CDN. It shifts fine, but the transmission whines as I accelerate. Had the fluid checked and no transmission codes. Garage said it was a normal sound for an AWD CR-V. Should I be concerned? Thanks, Cameron from Montreal.

Check/change the rear differential fluid. It can cause a hollowing noise.
Ok thanks, will do.

yes at the age they will often whine especially in a cold climb but with the all-wheel drive be sure that every 30,000 mi you change the fluid in the rear differential especially if noise is coming from there
