Is the 2020 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid SEL
a good car to purchase?
@steve1961
Hybrids are not really worth it. The gasoline versions gets about the same MPGs, more on the highway. After some years, the hybrid batteries will need to be changed.
If you want hybrid, get Toyota low miles
I agree with nick20s.
The regular Hyundai can not last more than 100,000 trouble free. If you add the hybrid to it, it lasts much less and you are gonna pay more for the fix.
Do yourself a favor and buy a Prius or another hybrid toyota.
that is incorrect, i own a 2008 honda hybrid, its still a gasoline vehicle and instead of using an alternator it has a rechargeable battery pack
First of all, your first statement makes your whole statement invalid.
You own a car that never existed. There is no 8th gen accord hybrid. How can you comment about hybrid cars?
@mrrangerzr1
no, not an accord. its a 2008 honda civic hybrid. i can comment about this car, i own, and i repair myself.

that is incorrect, i own a 2008 honda hybrid, its still a gasoline vehicle and instead of using an alternator it has a rechargeable battery pack, and the purpose for this is to save you money on gasoline. if you will get the same MPG do not get a hybrid. a regular hybrid battery should last you 20 years. an alternator can last you up to 5 years maybe more, so it still comes around the same price.
"Sonata Hybrid takes it. Converting sunlight into electricity, solar roof panel recharges the batteries generating enough electric power to increase driving range.The advanced design of its powertrain gives it an EPA-estimated 52 MPG combined gasoline, 54 hwy.
