05 sequoia brake light on

05 Sequoia with 213k miles pulling 1200 pound trailer. The break light just came on. Pulled over and turned off ingnition. Fluid level is good, no leaks, looked at rims under the vehicle to see if maybe cylinders might be leaking. No fluid on rims, depressed then released emergency brake just incase I hit the emergency brake peddle. Turned ignition on again and light is now out. What may have caused this?

The fluid might be low and when you are turning or going up or downhill the fluid is dropping and the sensor is picking up that is very low and could’ve gotten stuck. The parking brake sensor could of been hit by your knees, very sensitive on some vehicles. Next time it happens locate the brake fluid level sensor, usually on your master cylinder reservoir and tap it lightly see if the light goes away and do the same to the emergency brake sensor located under the pedal. If it goes out most likely either sensor is going bad.
