Just noticed at every cold start up puff of smoke would come out and goes away few seconds later. Would that be the valve seals? Car runs fine. Or something else. Thanks in advance
It’s 2006 Toyota Camry le 2.4 liter automatic. 226000 miles No codes. Puff of white smoke from exhaust. Does lose only 1/2 quart of oil only at 5000 miles oil change.
If it's a cold. humid morning, you can expect some translucent white smoke for a few minutes that dissipates quickly. If it's opaque and the idle gets weird, it's a blown head gasket. Some of these engines were notorious for stripped out head bolts causing the head gasket failure.
Smoke from where? The exhaust? The engine? The radiator?
Four cylinder or six? What color is the smoke? Does the engine lose oil or coolant?
