my coworker is selling his 07 Acura MDX with 225k miles for $1500. He says it needs a new transmission and struts. Would it be worth it to pop for a remanufactured transmission and new struts or just pass on this car? Thanks.

If $1500 is the value of it perfect working condition, it should cost less, because it is NOT in perfect working condition.

Are you sure you know "that's all" or is that just what you were told? Have you had it checked out by a mechanic? I'll bet not.
