06 Honda CR-V Screw/Bolt Extraction

Hey Guys,

I have a 2006 Honda CR-V and there is a screw that had its head snapped off in the hole where the bolt to secure the number 2 spark plug should go. When you remove that stupid plastic beauty cover that is over the spark plugs, there are two bolts that you cannot remove from the cover, I am referring to those.

Anyways, I have tried to remove the snapped of bolt with a vampliers but the metal is too soft and it just slips and deforms it. My question is whether I can just use a drill and just drill it out. Or, do any of you have a better idea?

Thanks

I am sorry I do not follow.

Is there anyway to put images on here? I took some pictures.

@jdor88
yes just click on "attach files". Or include a link to any image hosting site.

Mig weld a nut onto it. The heat from welding won't hurt the engine, smack the nut with a hammer to break the rust bond, you might break the nut off, weld on another and hand wrench the bolt out.

Try a bit heat blow torch ect and a pair of mould grips dont try and turn it all the way wiggle back and forth to losen it off if you have a welder try a few tacks on top of bolt yhe heat transfer might losen it off a bit if all else fails depending on where the bolt is connected to rocker cover ect then id leave yhe plastic off if you drill into cover yhe oil will force through any new bolts you put in if it just a bracket ect drill it out and stick a new bolt in hope yhis makes sence cheers ivan
