07 Ford Ranger transmission fluid leak

Hey Scotty and everyone,

I bought a 2007 Ford Ranger about 1 month ago from a used car dealer. It has 107k miles on it right now, i bought it with 105k. The dealer flushed all fluids, including the transmission fluid. The other day I noticed that there is transmission fluid leaking from the pan, and the pan is completely coated in transmission fluid. I checked the trans dipstick and it is filled to almost triple what it should be. It is well beyond the hatched zone on the dipstick when the engine is cold.

I'm going to call the dealer in the morning about this but do you think this could have done any serious damage to the transmission since I've driven it 2k miles with an overflowed transmission?

The dealer has already had to pay for spark plugs to be replaced because they out cheap Bosch ones in it, and they had to replace my water pump because they failed to notice it was leaking before I bought it.

Thanks!

Aaron

here's the problem the main thing with overflowing the transmission is it will blow the seals they may need to have to pull the transmission off now and replace all the transmission seals from them being stupid
