I know my blower motor needs replaced. Amazon has them for $40. The parts stores are asking $150. Should I gamble on Amazon. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks
Should I gamble on Amazon.
Not unless you feel like doing the job twice when the lousy counterfeit Chinese blower motor quickly gives out. Amazon and eBay are both full of small vendors selling counterfeit parts out of their basements.
That's fair. How do you feel about TRQ parts. Are they decent quality? They seem to be middle of the road on prices
If it's easy to get to you could take a chance. If the blower motor is a big job stick with OEM.
Amazon has them for $40
it won't last a year. Speaking from experience.
Even genuine parts sold by Amazon are sketchy because of the way people handle them. I bought brand-new AC/DELCO brake master cylinder for my '79 Pontiac three years ago off of Amazon. I installed it, made sure I completely bled the system, started the engine, pressed the brake, and it held normally for a second before going to the floor again.
I would go OEM, the original one lasted 15 years, the replacement will possibly last another 15 years.
