Hi Scotty. Huge fan of your show and honesty. I have an 08 Toyota Avalon that I had the transmission replaced. It works with a slight hesitation getting up to speed and the check engine light is on other than that it works perfectly. I ended up taking it to the stealership and they charged hundreds of dollars to tell me the transmission will not communicate with the car therefore I can NOT get it inspected in New York. Here I sit with a car in awesome condition, new suspension, new brakes, new hubs, new exhaust and a new engine directly from Toyota. Too much invested to turn my back on. Please help.
Well I don't know what kind of transmission you had to replace. The thing is from various years they are not compatible and I'm assuming you got a transmission from one that wasn't the same as yours in which case it won't communicate correctly because the sensors will never match up with a computer in your car. I would start by having a real pro. See if that's the case
