So I have a 08 Dodge Charger with 150k+ miles and its an automatic. I bought it back in November looking for a car at the time and I wonder if my transmission is slipping. When I go on the highway and I get up to 50mph or so and I notice a lack of acceleration but it does accelerate. My tachometer doesnt go up rapidly and I can hear that my engine doesnt rev up faster. I’ll be at around 1800 rpms or so. I’ll slowly give more gas then I feel the gear shift and my engine revs up, 2500 rpms give or take. Sorry for any confusion because I am confused myself.

What engine does this one have? Scan your vehicle for any codes.
