Hi, I recently replace the brake pads of my 2008 Honda SUV. Except, during this month it seems to have a like squeak noise whenever, I put the car in rear. An auto mechanic that I went to change the car oil says the brake need some work again, is it really true and need to have it look by an experience auto technician again?
sometimes they just need a little breaking in. How many miles has it been?
You can also try a light smear of anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads. Sometimes even grease works.
If it persists then you might just need better pads.
I'm not sure how many mileage like if over 100,000 miles.
Send the vehicle back to where it came from. The mechanic who did the job either used cheap quality parts or installed it incorrectly.
The brake pads I did it myself and I test it once complete that its great? So, maybe the brake disc and brake rotors need to also replace?
