I am looking at upgrading to a newer car and considering for a used car for around 25K. Wonder if I select 10 year old Lexus or a 5 year old Camry/RAV4/Accord/CRV?

If you're considering about $25k then why not go with a new one? The base 2025 Camry starts at $28,400 so if you plan on keeping the car for a long time then might as well go with new.
But if you definitely want to go with used then a 5 year old Camry or Rav4; they're the same engine etc. just different body styles. Make sure to have a trusted independent mechanic check it out before making the purchase.

Well we couldn't guess that based on the information you provided. I'm not aware of car prices in Australia (maybe someone else here is), but in general I would go with newer lower mileage.
I'd research the engine in each choice and look for repeatable problems it has and then factor that repair in to your budget before deciding between the two.
