- 2012 Quest LE
- 148,210 miles
- I'm the 2nd owner
Scott, I live in Pearland and I'm in need of assts. Before taking any actions i explain below, it was already showing engine performance issues that were diagnosed to be from a bad MAF SENSOR. So I replaced it 2 months ago. After 2 weeks it's worse. So out of desperation I made a (prime example) a stupid nucklehead move by putting a 1/2 of a tank of 85-E grade fuel-(2 months ago) my 2012 Nissan Quest LE is stuck in limp mode. It will not rev up or pass exactly 2500 RPM. I just drove 2 round-trips with the van to and from Galveston. What should I check or do now Thank you Scott.
- I have replaced:
- (1) MAF SENSOR
- (2) Air filter upgraded
- (3) battery upgraded
- (4) oil change (synthetic)
- (5) oil filter (K&N brand)
Did you get the vehicle scanned for codes? If yes, was there a code that said that the MAF sensor was bad? You could experiencing a loss of power which could lead to a possible rebuild of the engine. But check with a mechanic before replacing any other part on that car.
Definitely need current codes to give valid advice
Side note that those years quest are fairly common for the intake boot to tear causing an unmonitored intake leak which can cause some pretty drastic driveability concerns
