Hello, I have a 2016 Lexus RX with 62k miles. The 12V battery is ~3 years old and had to be jump started recently.
How soon should I replace the battery? Will keeping the battery for a few more weeks damage the alternator and other components?

Have the battery and alternator load tested. Each affects the other.

it shouldn't need replacing after only 3 years. Maybe you just left something turned on or plugged in, or your alternator is failing. Have your charging system checked.
