What is your opinion of the 12-valve Cummins engine, specifically the one with the Bosch P7100 injection pump that was offered in Dodge heavy duty pickups from 1994-1998? I have an idea of putting one in a Ford Super Duty anywhere between the 1999-2010 model years because they are the model years with the most available conversion parts. I've heard that this is one of the most reliable engines ever made and I'd love to know what you think of this idea.
Thanks!

It likely won't work without lots and lots of money involved. Engines of that era were still controlled by computer, not analog, and Cummins didn't make a Ford-only engine. The bolt pattern most likely won't be the same, etc. Long-story short, that's a rat's nest waiting to happen.
