I love my 2007 Solara 3.3 V6 conv, so at 120k I:

Replaced air & cabin filter

Plugs and coils (Iridium/Denso)

Replaced cracked motor mount

Checked fluid levels

Added Gumout for gen cleaning

I've never flushed anything or fully changed any fluids

Always use full synthetic oil/filter every 5-6k miles

Belts & hoses look ok, A/C cold

Top leaks a bit on driver's side near the windshield

My question: What else could/should I do to get to 200k?

I would change the transmission fluid. Take care of the car, don't drive like a maniac and keep changing the oil every 5k with the recommended oil.

Scotty recommends against changing the transmission fluid if it has never been changed before. Maybe a quart or leave it alone?

Scotty didn't say that. He said don't change it if it has a lot of miles, like 200k, and it's never been done before. You need to change the the tranny fluid, or it WILL fail. Read the FAQ for more info.

ok, I guess to me, 120,000 sounds like a lot of miles., but I'll give it a shot. thanks.

Replace the brake fluid and replace the PCV valve with each oil, filter change.

thanks. I'll replace the brake fluid and also the pcv valve. Maybe the thermostat too while I'm at it.

Good idea. Make sure to burp the system of air after changing the thermostat and refilling the coolant.
