I'm a relative newcomer to your website/youtube auto sites. I'm learning a great deal. I'm soon to turn 66 and have always wanted a coupe version of a well made luxury car. I'm thinking that my time has arrived. I'm aware that most all of your opinions/videos address used cars which are very informative. Even so, I'm set on buying "my last car" which will most likely see me through retirement (however long that lasts) and I'm torn between two particular makes/models. One is the Lexus RC 350 all wheel drive. The other is the Audi A5 coupe also in all wheel drive. I've heard enough to know that Audi has a history of maintenance issues but am uncertain if that remains the case. While (given my own personal preference) I may lean toward the Audi for overall style/features, true mechanical quality will always be my primary preference. So, given your professional experience... would your agree that overall - and compared to Audi - Lexus remains the "better made" car ? Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond.

Audi vs. Lexus...

This is not much of a comparison. Go for the Lexus. Audi cars fall apart after 100k miles.

Lexus all day long.  No comparison.

Since this is going to be a “forever” car (I presume since you say “last car”), and even if you keep the mileage low, you would be very wise to pick the Lexus over the Audi.  Now, if you absolutely love the Audi more and want it really bad, just lease it and get it out of your system and return before the warranty expires - nothing wrong with doing that.  But for an actual purchase and keeping well beyond the warranty period, go with the Lexus.

Thanks for the perspective guys..... Since I'm banking on this being my "last car" (hoping for 20 years as 86 years of age is not unheard of) I want the most likely car to get me there with an enduring amount of style to boot..... My conflict between the two is resolved. No looking back. {black}:serious:
