Scotty,
2014 Chrysler 300c, hemi, 5speed NAG, RWD, 42000 miles.
During cooler weather, I can go through the gears fine on the initial drive from startup. But if the transmission is still cold and I have a stoplight to wait through, on acceleration, the transmission doesn't feel totally engaged and will be very slow to shift. But then if I hit another stop light and then accelerate, the shifting will be back to normal.
Also on that first stop at the light, if I shift the transmission into neutral, I can avoid the slow shift problem.
I haven't noticed this problem in hot weather since I bought the car in 2018. The owners before me only put on 9700 miles in 4 years, likely in town driving.
Is there a thermostat problem or a pump problem or need a fluid filter change or a stick of dynamite? Old fashioned Mercedes 5 speed NAG.
Thanks!
You may have electronic issues for the transmission. Have a pro check it out with a scan tool.
