2.0 EcoBoost turbo
Automatic transmission
65,000 Miles
My question is simple but complex at the same time. Sometimes my transmission makes a strange knocking sound. It mostly happens when in reverse but will do it when in park sometimes also but never in drive. I also find that the transmission will jerk into gear when accelerating on the highway. My mechanic couldn't figure out what it was and suggested that I take it back to the dealer but I don't want to have to deal with them. Any help would be appreciated. I'd attach a video but it wont let me.
First thing I would do is get on the phone with the dealership and say this is not right and I would also check for recalls but it is an eco-boost engine they are good but they put a lot more strain on the engine but I have transmission issues at this little mileage the only thing I would recommend doing is draining the transmission fluid and checking for metal particles if he is any I would recommend putting the same transmission fluid back in and consider getting a rebuild our new transmission
