Hey Scotty I recently resealed the timing cover on my fusion using rtv. Since then every time I turn my ac on, it idles like mad, only does it with the ac on. Cleaned the throttle body, no vacuum leaks, has electric iac that’s controlled by the throttle body, ac pressure is good, no codes are being thrown please help.
Load test the battery and alternator. If they checked out, you may have issues with the AC compressor.
You think the ac compressor could be on its way out? I mean happened literally after I resealed the timing cover like what could possibly cause that
It could be coincidence .You said you don't have vacuum leak. To roll out the possibilities, I would load test the charging system and do the smoke test for vacuum leak again.
Just for clarification rpms will fluctuate up and down when I turn the a/c on. So I’ll load test the charge system. What’s the best way to check for a bad compressor
Turns out the timing is off/jumped. Don’t ever recall messing with the timing, but I just think it’s weird how it only does it with the ac on.
