18 RAV4 vibrations

Hey Scotty,

thanks for all that you do! I recently bought a 2018 properly maintained and thoroughly checked by mechanic with his scan tool Toyota RAV4 with 26k miles

I have noticed that sometimes I can feel a vibration during acceleration when my elbow is on the center console. Worried about transmission issues I tried to pinpoint whether it occurs during a specific gear but it isn’t consistent enough to tell. Should I be worried and what should I do? The car is nearing the end of Toyota warranty and don’t want to get screwed!

To the best of your knowledge, was it in any prior wreck, before you bought it? It’s too soon for any wear & tear parts to start failing at 3 yrs/26,000 miles..

Nope. Nothing on carfax, nothing visible, and nothing my mechanic found during testing. Also, I’m not sure how much this matters, but the dealer put all four new tires on it (they weren’t happy about it) right before I got the car. Could things be out of balance/alignment because of a poor or rushed tire job? And I originally thought that this vibration only happened when the eco light came on in regular driving mode, but this morning it seems to happen here and there in many different gears and at many different times

Sure, I’d have them checked for correct balancing before going any further -
