So i have a 2019 honda civic 2.0 liter cvt with 19,000 miles on the odometer, i have the engine at normal operating temperature and when i am just sitting at idle in Park i can barely feel any vibration almost none but when i put it in Drive, the vehicle vibrates just a little bit more like i can feel it but is this just the way engines are? And is it just normal?
Perhaps normal for older or/and high mileage cars. On new cars dealers and/or manufacturers say it is normal as excuse to avoid repair what they screwed in production.
In park and neutral, … engine is free-wheeling, engine is idling. In drive, brakes fully fully on - car stationery - car is in first gear, torque converter slipping applying some load upon the engine. Engine speed usually drops a bit. Computer compensates for that, adjusts idle speed, … but generally, there is a discernible difference. No harm done, …

Also i can barely make it out but when in drive at idle i can very, very slightly feel little bumps spread out between each other in the idle. They don’t happen all the time though. Is this normal also? I bought the car brand new and i’ve never cleaned the mass air flow sensor or throttle bottle.
I would not say it is normal. If you can detect a tiny stumble sitting in you seat, … there has to be something there. Not sure what, … I will look at Honda’s diagnostic decision tree, … perhaps there is a clue. I will let you know if I find anything that you can check yourself first. Otherwise, warranty time claim!

They will vibrate slightly more. But it should be barely noticeable after the engine warms up.
The only way to really tell is to sit in another 2.0 liter civic.
