I have a 2009 Honda Pilot. 160,000 miles. My alarm has been going off randomly. It used to do it once in a blue, but like this morning, it went off twice. And the alarm wasn't sounding in a consecutive pattern (sort of speak), It would sound obnoxious, as if someone was press & holding down the horn. Upon scanning, a few ECU fail's are showing in VTM, and ABS system along w/ a power supply failure. Also, an Open/High Resistance in Airbag modules. Could any of these be a factor to my alarm issue?? Thanks.
There's probably a door switch malfunctioning. There are little buttons on each of the doors that indicate when it is being opened. I don't think any of those codes have to do with the alarm going off.
Drive to the local autoparts and ask them to test your battery and alternator (they may not check alt...depends on store). A lot of security glitches is often indicative of a charging system going bad. And easy quick check (possible fix) too : )
