- Hi Scotty....need some help. I just installed a new carburetor in my '79 Camaro Berlinetta, it's a 2 barrel and the engine is a 305. I need to make sure all my vacuum hoses are hooked up correctly and I need to know which connectors I should just cover up

Go to RockAuto and look up your car, then go to the Literature tab. There's probably a digital copy on CD of the GM dealer service manual for all iterations of the 1979 Camaro that you can buy. I bought the 1979 Pontiac service manual for dealerships for my 1979 Pontiac Catalina from there and paid $25. I replaced all of the vacuum hoses under the hood as you are doing by following the service diagrams. I've used it to pull apart my dashboard and reinstall a trunk lock thus far. It's probably the best $25 I've ever spent.
